Surprise Auntie Peg
Friday night after a Dietrich girls basketball game. Dad, Belle and I headed to Washington to surprise Auntie Peg. We knew she was going to have no family around on Thanksgiving so we wanted to have an early Thanksgiving with her. We headed out about 8:00 that night. We stopped outside of Pendelton to take a three hour nap. When we got into town Dad called Auntie Peg and there was no answer. We got to the door camera ready and still no answer we waited and knocked again. Then we tried the back door. She did not answer so we called her again. No answer. By this time we were worried that something had happened. We decided to head to the neighbors to see if he had a key to the house. We came around the corner and her comes Auntie Peg and the neighbor. They decided to go shopping early to get their food for Thanks giving. So the surprise was on us.
We had a great time with Auntie Peg. We sure did laugh a lot. The visit was great. It was a fast trip. Left Sunday morning at 5:00 am. But it was worth it.
Belle and I ran to Fuller's to get Devil Dog's they are our favorite. They are the only Bakery that makes them. Thanks for good old Fuller's
Hey we can eat the whole box's are self's. Oh wait I think we did. We let Dad and Auntie Peg share one, but that is all they were going to get. heee!
We made Auntie Peg's famous Cheese Cake. When we were kids I remember that is what she would bring to dinners. She would make it special for us. On one half she would keep the cherries off cause us kids hated cherries and no walnut's cause Jr was allergic to it. Then on the other side she had everything on it. We had an early Chinese Thanksgiving with Auntie Peg. I sure do love you Auntie Peg. Thanks for wonderful time even though it was short. It something I will always will remember.
