This is probably the worse room in the house. The previous owners loved wall paper. I mean really loved wall paper. It was in both bathrooms, two of the kids rooms, kitchen, back porch, and playroom. We have been in the house now just about three years. Finally the ugly wall paper in the kitchen is GONE! This is the ceiling of the kitchen.
See what I am talking about ugly. The kids would pick at it so it made it look worse. But I did not care I wanted it gone.
More ugly Wall Paper
I hate these kind of lights. Hate! They all did not work they were all stretched out to much. So happy to see Michael take them down.
These are our new lights...love it
The ceiling painted and the beams. The new ceiling fan. The beams now really pop out. The ceiling was a pain in the butt. I don't have much patience for the detail stuff. So mom came over and did that for me.
Tadaa!! You like? It is a light brown ( forgot the name)
Dad and Michael put up the bead board. Belle came over and caulked everything. So again another team effort to get it done. I love it! The sign says (Love is spoken here... Sometimes) I love this cause it is so true.
So from the looks of the picture it looks all done. But it's not. We still have to knock the nails in the bead board, then puddy, and then paint the bead board white. So pretty much it is done. It has really brighten up the room. Thanks everyone for the hard work. This summer I am going to paint the kids rooms.

Nice job! I can't believe you have been there almost 3 years. Time sure does fly by. You really are making your house a home by the looks of all your projects. Maybe this summer the boys & I can come for a visit. We'll have to see what's up with Bellagio first.

The kitchen looks awesome. I love the bead board, it looks great and the chair rail (I don't know if that is part of the bead board or not, but it looks so nice). I think that is so nice that you have been able to make your house your home...the way you like it! And you have a great "team" helping you all the way! It looks great! I can't wait to see it in person! Hope we can come up soon! We miss you guys!
Holy Smokes! Love, love, love those beams! Someday, I'm gonna have beams so I can paint them like that, too! =) You were right, that wall paper was disgusting! One of these days, we'll have to 'stop by' on our way to Idaho Falls.
