Look what I did!! (a lot of help from mom). I wanted to learn how to make jam. So I went to Costco bought the strawberry's and made it. I got 20 jars of it. Hopefully it will help with food storage. The kids love jam and Peanut Butter. Those who really know me know that I hate the kitchen but over the years I am getting better about trying new things and wanting to learn new things. It's not that bad working in the kitchen. I guess in adult life I still have room to grow. Who knew I could do this. Not to long ago I didn't know that you keep the seeds in the tomatoes when you cut them. I thought the seeds were bad. Or making hamburger helper and calling up Belle so confused in a panic cause it says to simmer. What and Were is that I asked her. Without laughing to bad she says it is on the dial of the stove top. My kind of cooking before this was a drive-thru or to call Apple Bee's pick up. So many more options in Vegas then here in Gooding. I am telling you I am learning a lot. I have improved. There is a lot more to learn I am sure. I am just a late bloomer in the kitchen.

That is so awesome! I am so proud of you! I remember the first time I made jam, I really felt like I was the champion of the kitchen-which I was and you now totally are! I am impressed! Great job, I can't wait to have some of your corn, your salsa and now your jam! Yummy! Look at what country living is doing to you!
You have come a long way in the kitchen and I'm sure the whole family appreciates that, but everything you have made before the jam has been really good. I love your scalloped potatoes and ham and I can't wait to taste that jam. Keep up the good work.
Wow, I don't look at this blog for a couple of days (due to being at Aprils) and look what you've done.
The kids look wonderful, the potatoes are awesome and I've tried canning, but not my best thing to do. You are really growing as a country gal that's going to out shine us all. Keep up the good work Tera, I'm so proud of you and your little people. (Michael too!) Love you!
You're cracking me up! come on Tera...simmer? You are so funny.
WAY TO GO TERA!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!! Sounds like you've got the 'bug' - the kitchen home-maker bug, that is! I think it's so rewarding to do those kinds of things! I feel so accomplished - just as I am sure you do!! Again, AWESOME JOB!!!
Those look soooo yummmmmmy. Nothings better than homemade jam on toasted homemade bread...oh great, now I've got a craving!!
