So tonight Wyatt was playing with the phone. I took it from him and hung it back up. The phone rang right away. To my surprise he called 911. I told the dispatcher I am sorry and my little 18 month old must of called. He was playing with the phone and we are all OK. The story doesn't end there I get a knock on the door about 10 minutes later. This tall man was at the door. All I could see was his bill of his hat that looked black and his eyes. I was not going to open the door for this guy it was about 9:30 and it was dark out there (Michael had a JV game tonight). I asked who is was. He replied, "The police". Oh crap. I guess in Gooding they still check on the 911 calls even if they find out everything is OK. So this last week and a half I got pull over for speeding. Then a police followed me home one night to tell me my head light was out and I got Wyatt calling 911. It is never a boring moment in this house.

Wow, I would have had a heart attack with any of the things you had! Glad it worked out OK and maybe you can give Wyatt a dummy phone or something. Your kids have all been smart, it's no wonder he is too. Glad the police follow up though, that can give you peace of mind in case something was wrong. Love your blog!
Last year we were swimming at some friends' house and their youngest daughter and Abby went inside. We didn't think anything of it until a Sherrif came around the side of the house asking if everything was ok! We realized what happened and had a good talk with the girls (ages 3 & 5) about using the phone! I've been paranoid about one of the kids dialling 911 ever since!
When we were living in Adna and Holli was about 3 or 4 I found her on the phone talking to someone. When I asked her who it was, she gave me the phone. To my surprise it was the 911 operator who proceeded to scold me about letting her call 911. The joke is that we didn't even have 911 capabilities in Adna at that time. I don't know how she reached her!! Kids! They will surprise us all the time!! Glad the police followed up with you. That is reassuring if not a little embarrassing!!
