The Bus!!

Ellie and Wyatt could not wait to ride the bus to pre-school. The 1st week of school I took them. They wanted to ride the bus so bad. I knew it, but I didn't want to do it. So I gave in the 2nd week. That they could ride the bus. This was a huge day for them and me. Here they are looking out the window for the bus to come.
At the door. The bus will be coming any minute. I am about to change my mind and put them in the van and take them.
They were so excited to see the bus come. Ellie could not wait to get on. Wyatt doesn't have the words to say it, but with the jumping and repeating bus bus bus I knew he could not wait to get on. Wyatt has to be carried on the bus his little legs are to short to get up those stairs. Their bus driver is the same bus driver that picks up the kids in the morning. Knowing her gave me comfort.
They are in the sits. Wyatt is buckled down. They are super excited for the ride. Wyatt can barely look out of the window.
Of course I followed the bus to school. It just made me sick that they were on there. I needed to make sure they were ok. So I followed them. Helped Wyatt off the bus. Got them in the classroom. Well I just did this for two days. Because Ellie told me to stop following the bus. That she can get Wyatt off the bus. So I did. I stayed home. I called Belle right away so I wouldn't follow it. This has been a huge change in the house. The teacher says they are both doing well. Ellie has a friend in the class Wyatt L. She loves to play with him. They say she does a great job and that she lets Wyatt do his thing. We were worried that she would become mother hen. Knowing Ellie she is in her own world doing her thing not noticing anything around her. Wyatt is doing excellent in school. They are amazed by how well he is doing. They can't get over his speech. We told them at our meeting that his speech just took off during Christmas break. It truly is a miracle how well is does do.

So now that you are home all by yourself for at least 2 hours a day, is your laundry always done? House always clean? Me neither...love you lady. Hope you enjoy your alone time.

PS. Love the part about Ellie telling you not to follow the bus anymore. So great.

You are so cute! Darren did the same thing the first time Cole had to ride the bus to preschool. Now what to do with all of that free time. I am so sad we didn't get to meet up when you were here. We know your family comes first. At least we have the blogs to keep in touch. Love you
