Thanksgiving 2009

Well another Thanksgiving has come and gone. We left from home on Tuesday and got to Vegas late that night. Thursday was the big feast and Mom Perry did a great job. To bad I had a cold and could not taste anything. I could only imagine how good it was. We took our family picture this year on the grounds of UNLV. Later we went and saw Planet 51. The weather in Vegas was perfect.

BLACK FRIDAY!!! Michael and I headed out to Toys r US at 11:20. The lines were crazy but by the time we were all done with our shopping it was 8:00 am. (We shopped all night with a little nap in the Target parking lot) What a morning or what a night! But it was well worth staying up. We got just about everything done.

Saturday morning we had Christmas with the Perry's. Which is a little crazy. It is always fun to watch the kids get so excited opening up gifts (thank you everyone). We headed out the door about 11:30. Had to go through IN- N -OUT to tied me over until the next time we were in town. We went through Utah this time. I wanted the kids to see the lights on Temple Square. I get this call from Belle and I told her we are on our way to Temple Square. She said they were too (Neither one of us knew). They went to the movie there then meet up with us. So funny we see them in Utah. Temple Square was amazing. Love to go back. Next time more prepared. We decided to go this way home on our way to Vegas. Poor Michael only in short, t shirt. He had to use Ethan's Seahawk blanket. Which we got a kick out of that (he is a true Raider fan). Thanksgiving was great. Now back to the norm in the morning.

Great pictures as usual. Very nice of you to get them on the blog so quickly, thanks. Quite a difference between the Las Vegas pictures and those taken in Salt Lake City. It was truely beautiful weather here. How fun that you met up with Belle and her family. I had such a good time, short as it was, and look forward to seeing you all again as soon as possible.

We'll get the knitting down again.
Love you all.

I'm glad you had such a great time and so sad it had to be such a short trip!

By the way - just saw it's 18 degrees in Gooding, and 45 degrees here in Vegas...just thought I'd rub that in!!
