This picture is 11 years old. This is the first picture taken of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Perry outside of the Portland Oregon Temple Sept 26,1998. I not sure what we got our self's into. We meet at the end of May. My friend Traci took me to a single adult dance. If you knew me back then I was not a fan of Mormon get togethers. Never had a good reason why. I sure was not going to go to a dance, but Traci took me. The group she hung out with in Lacey, Olympia area were awesome. I started going to their game nights, drive in movie nights, and dances. This is the first time I had a great time with people that I felt I had more in common then church. Back to this dance Traci took me to. I meet Michael. He was super kind. People flocked to him. I could tell he was a leader. After hanging out with the group for a bit not sure when but we just started dating. Not long after we were engaged and 11 years later. This was the most nervous day of my life. I don't think anyone can really prepare you for married life.
My man! I don't remember much of the day other then the sealing room was full of family and friends.
engagement pictures. I now have wrinkles in my face.
Here is another one
Here we are just a couple days away from the wedding. This was taken on the stairs at the Capital in Olympia.
Our first apartment in Lacey. I got to tell you when Michael showed up at my house to take my stuff to Lacey it was really hard knowing I was leaving my mom & dad. Not that I wanted to live with them forever. It was all so scary for me. Michael was probably scared as well knowing I had so much stuff and pickles was coming with me. Pickles is still with us :)
We are super blessed parents of five wonderful, sweet, talented, caring, kids. Ethan 9, Bryanna 8, Katie 6, Ellie 4 and Wyatt 2. Which Michael would like to consider Wyatt being the caboose. Here we are today 11 years later. We have moved 8 times. Lived in three different states. We had 5 kids in 7 years. Before we were married I told him that I want to stay home with my kids. He said not a problem. He has kept his promise. He went to school taken a full load and worked at the same time. At his graduation from UNLV we had three kids and Ellie was on her way. He will have his masters done this Spring. We bought our first house 3 years ago. He honors his priesthood. He is his kids hero. He will watch chick flick with me. His heart is in his work he enjoys his students. He is an example to me. Over all I am truly blessed to have him as my companion.
Happy Anniversary Michael ....and they said it would never last :0
